Barbara Morello was born in Lecce on 4/12/1959.
She received a wide musical education, studying piano and cello.
After completing Scientific high school she pursued her studies in Modena where she had her first contacts with violin making. In 1982 she enrolled in the violin making course at the Parma Music School under the guidance of M° Renato Scrollavezza until 1987 when she completed her diploma.
During this time she attended classes for cello at the same Music School.
She took part in several international violin making competitions including the Cremona Triennal and Mittenwald.
In 1988 she opened her workshop in Lecce where she still works dedicating herself to the making of modern and baroque stringed instruments as well as their restoration.
