Peter Ivan attended the school for violin making (lasting 5 years) of the conservatoire of music “Arrigo Boito” in Parma (Italy). There he learned his trade with master Renato Scrollavezza and obtained his diploma.
Subsequently Peter Ivan worked in Australia, Austria and again Italy.
Since 1991 he has been the owner of a trade certificate and runs his own atelier for making violins in Waidhofen/Ybbs (Austria). He works on the construction of new violins, violas, cellos and basses in the traditional and his own personal styles. He also works on repairs and restoration of antique and modern instruments, trading, accessories.
